As a Collection Tin Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping us successfully fundraise and raise the profile of the charity.
Key responsibilities:
You will ask local shops, cafes, pubs, etc in your area to have a collection tin, helping raise vital funds for the charity. You will manage the tins by ensuring full ones are returned to the charity and replaced, keeping a list of all locations where they are held and ensuring a thank you certificate is issued to the holder.
Responsibilities would include:
• Approaching businesses to hold a collection tin
• Maintaining records of collection tin locations and money raised
• Returning full tins to Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity centre in Chailey
Collection Tin Volunteers can pick their own hours, creating a collection tin round that works for you, so whether you have an hour or so each week or a whole day a month, we want to hear from you!
