Kingscote and East Grinstead the two northern stations on the Bluebell Railway require new staff to help run either or both stations. As a member of the station staff team, your primary role is the safety of our customers, and to play your part in giving them a day to remember. You could be meeting and greeting our customers, selling tickets, despatching trains, working in either kiosk and keeping the station clean and tidy. No previous knowledge of railways is required as full training is provided by our experienced team. Most of us have had no railway experience when we joined! When it is quiet you could choose do various maintenance jobs such as painting and gardening.
You can choose to work on any day and as often as you wish, it is purely up to you, we are that flexible.
Once you have qualified as a member of the station staff you could progress to other areas of the railway such as guards and signalmen or anything that meets your specific skills and experience. Most of us wear more than one hat!!
Full induction is provided on day one and visits to both stations are included.
