Garden Gang Volunteer Opportunities

Garden Gang at The Mac’s Farm CIC – Community Garden

Are you looking to get outdoors, meet new people, and be part of something positive in your community?

Garden Gang at The Mac’s Farm CIC is a welcoming, inclusive group of volunteers helping to care for and grow our community garden. We bring together individuals, couples, and young families, all sharing time, skills, and experiences in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or have never planted a seed before, there’s a place for you here.

What You Can Get Involved In

As part of the Garden Gang, you can take part in a variety of activities, including:

 • Planting, weeding, watering, and general garden care

 • Creating and maintaining garden features (raised beds, pathways, seating areas)

 • Supporting our no-dig, organic growing approach

 • Learning and applying sustainable, wildlife-friendly gardening practices

 • Helping during community sessions, open days, and family activities

 • Sharing ideas and helping shape the future of the garden

At the heart of what we do is our ethos:

“Grown with love, not chemicals – 100% natural.”

You’re free to get involved as much or as little as you like — every contribution counts.

Who Can Join

Our Garden Gang is open to everyone:

 • Individuals looking for time outdoors or a new hobby

 • Couples or partners wanting to get involved together

 • Young families looking for a positive, nature-based activity

 • Anyone wanting to meet new people and feel part of a community

We offer informal learning opportunities as well as work placements for those currently studying, including:
