Park Centre is a community focused organisation based in Burgess Hill dedicated to providing accessible leisure and recreation spaces, services and opportunities that support wellbeing, social connection and community development. As a charity we reinvest our resources to benefit local people and strengthen community cohesion.
Activity and Project Volunteers will support our new daytime Park Centre community activities providing local support. We have two exciting projects starting :
Drop in sessions aimed at adults 18-30 who have a Neurodiverse condition with an aim to improve social opportunities, reduce isolation and connect.
Drop in sessions providing a space and informal support for those requiring home admin and digital support over a cuppa.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and create a friendly and inclusive environment
- Support the smooth running of the new neurodivergent drop in and paperwork Café
- Help set up and pack away equipment for sessions
- Offer basic guidance to attendees and signpost to staff when needed
- Assist with teas and coffees during activities
- Help with simple administrative tasks linked to the sessions
- set up and take part in games, arts and crafts, etc
Skills
- Friendly and approachable with good people skills
- Comfortable chatting with a wide range of visitors
- Reliable and willing to work as part of a team
- Understanding of inclusion and community values
- Happy to learn and take direction when needed
- Prior experience supporting people with Admin is welcomed
- Prior experience of supporting Neurodivergent individuals is welcomed

We aim to start our Projects before March 2026. Hours will generally be 2-3 hours one day per week, per session.
