Sasha Brown
Senior Community Development Coordinator
My family and I arrived in Sussex in 2010 and I have thoroughly enjoyed making it my home. I am passionate about community and really enjoy working with groups to see positive change, enabling them to become more sustainable and make a difference to the people they serve. I meet so many inspiring people in my community work and it is a joy to work alongside them, I have seen people’s lives completely change as a result of the work groups do. I love the variety of community work too – one day I am organising a forum hearing about new community projects and finding out ways to create solutions to challenges, the next day I can be sat in a field in the middle of nowhere supporting an equine therapy group with its funding strategy! It’s a privilege to work with the Community People team to make this difference.
I am a Mum which takes up most of my personal time but love baking novelty cakes, birdwatching for my peace, walking in Ashdown Forest, cycling, art galleries and a good old boogie!
