Community Engagement & Participation Coordinator
As a former teacher, I was so excited to embrace a new opportunity to be Project and Communications Coordinator at Community People a year ago. I have had so many opportunities to meet new people, learn about my local community, expand my skills and work with truly wonderful, dedicated, and inspiring people. My main project so far as been working on the rebranding of Mid Sussex Voluntary Action to Community People, including creating the new website. I have learned a lot and I am excited for what’s next in my new role as Community Engagement & Participation Coordinator.
Outside of work I have too many hobbies and interests, but I am mainly fascinated by textiles and especially ancient cloth making. I love to spin, weave, knit and sew. I’ve already bought enough wool for a lifetime, and I grow my own flax and vegetables on my allotment and keep busy with my husband, kids and border terrier.
