.SVLA Strategic Place Lead – West Sussex JD July 2026

Community People is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to strengthen the role of the VCSE sector within Sussex with the integrated care system. Working as part of the Sussex VCSE Leaders Alliance (SVLA), you will build partnerships across the voluntary sector, NHS and local authorities to improve population health and reduce inequalities.

Senior leadership experience
Strong knowledge of the VCSE sector and partnership working
Experience influencing senior stakeholders
Strategic thinking and project delivery skills
Excellent communication and relationship building abilities

Hybrid working, office and home with requirements for travel across Sussex.

NHS Sussex and the Sussex Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Leaders Alliance (SVLA) are working jointly to strengthen the Sussex Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) sector role as an integrated care system partner, equally involved in the determination, design and delivery of services at a system, place and neighbourhood level, developing long term relationships and collaborations to improve the lives of people living in Sussex.

Funded by the NHS, the contract holder is Community Works.
