If you have an environmental or nature based project you want to get off the ground there are a number of funders who have grants specifically for these projects or have the Climate and Nature Crisis as a core theme to their funds. You will find that most Parish and Town Councils will be interested in funding sustainability action projects. Please talk to Community People if you would like help to find funds for your project or group.
There are lots of other ways to fundraise and interact with your community at the same time. Ideas include hosting a clothes swap, running a community jumble trail, having a seed and plant swap, sponsored litter pick or community film night. If you have events already in your calendar you may want to think about ways you can reduce their environmental impact, for instance having balloons at an event can create litter and affect wildlife – bubbles are a fun alternative.
